Home Remedies Using Betel (Pan) Leaves

  • Mix the juice of hot Betel leaves with a mild oil like coconut oil and apply to the lower back (loins). This natural poultice helps relieve lumbago and muscle stiffness.

  • Warm a Betel leaf gently and apply a layer of castor oil over it. Place the leaf on the boil and replace it every few hours. This remedy helps draw out pus and reduces inflammation.

  • Apply freshly extracted Betel leaf juice directly to the wound. Cover with a clean Betel leaf and bandage. Most wounds heal significantly within 48 hours.

  • Mix Betel leaf juice with a teaspoon of honey and consume to soothe throat irritation naturally.

  • Dip the stalk of a Betel leaf in castor oil and gently insert it into the child’s rectum. This remedy gives quick relief from constipation.

  • Soak Betel leaves in mustard oil, warm them slightly, and apply to the chest area. This reduces symptoms of cold, cough, and breathing difficulties.

  • Crush Betel leaves into a paste and apply to the forehead to relieve intense headaches.

  • Boil 3 Betel leaves with a few black peppercorns in 250 ml of water. Strain and drink this twice a day for digestive relief.
