Home Remedies Using Ashoka Tree (Saraca asoca)
The Ashoka tree, scientifically known as Saraca asoca, holds immense significance in Ayurvedic medicine. Known for its healing properties, the bark, seeds, and flowers of the Ashoka tree are widely used to treat various health conditions. Below are effective home remedies using Ashoka for natural healing and wellness.
To relieve internal piles naturally, boil 90 grams of Ashoka bark in 360 ml of water and 30 ml of milk. Continue boiling until the mixture reduces to 90 grams, and take it in 2 to 3 doses daily.
Crush fresh Ashoka flowers with water to make an extract. Consuming 15 to 16 drops of this extract helps treat hemorrhagic dysentery.
Grind Ashoka bark and boil it with 2 cups of water until it reduces to 1 cup. After it cools, mix in ½ cup of mustard oil. Apply this paste to the skin to reduce pimples and acne naturally.
For relief from respiratory problems, take Ashoka seed powder wrapped in a betel leaf. Consume this twice daily, in the morning and evening.
Take 1 to 2 grams (or spoonfuls) of Ashoka seed powder with water twice a day. This helps manage excessive urination and supports kidney health by preventing stones.
Mix equal parts of Ashoka bark powder and Mishri (rock sugar). Consume ½ teaspoon in the morning and ½ teaspoon in the evening to treat leucorrhoea.
To regulate menstrual flow, boil 2 tolas of Ashoka bark with ½ seer of milk and ½ seer of water. Once only milk remains, strain and consume daily.
Grind dried Ashoka flowers with water and take 15 to 60 drops twice a day. This helps in managing blood sugar levels naturally.
Ashoka is effective in treating fever, colds, and infections due to its strong antibacterial properties.
Ashoka strengthens the uterus, promotes wound healing, and is believed to prevent miscarriages, ocular diseases, and certain neurological disorders.
