Looking for natural remedies to relieve tooth pain? Try these time-tested home treatments for toothache:

  • Mix equal parts of black pepper and common salt with a few drops of water to form a paste. Apply this directly to the painful tooth and leave it for a few minutes.

  • Crush a clove of garlic and mix it with a little table salt. Apply this mixture directly to the affected area to ease toothache.

  • Dissolve 1 teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water. Gargle for 30 seconds and spit it out. This helps reduce inflammation and kill bacteria.

  • Grind two cloves and mix them with a few drops of olive oil or any edible vegetable oil. Apply this mixture to the painful area for quick relief.

  • Chewing a slice of raw onion for a few minutes can help reduce tooth pain due to its antimicrobial properties.

  • Add a pinch or ½ teaspoon of powdered asafetida (hing) to 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. Warm it slightly and apply to the affected area using a cotton swab.

  • Boil 4-5 fresh guava leaves in water. Let it cool, add a pinch of salt, and use it as a natural mouthwash to relieve pain and reduce infection.
