Home Remedies for a Sore Throat
For Bacterial Infections:
Mix ½ teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of honey in 1 cup of warm water. Sip slowly.
Combine 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon each of lemon juice and honey in warm water. Drink this 2-3 times daily.
Add 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon powder and black pepper powder to a glass of warm water. Let it cool slightly and gargle with it 2-3 times a day.
Dissolve ½ teaspoon of salt in warm water and use it for gargling.
Chew a raw garlic (lahsun) clove daily to help combat the infection.
Boil 2 cups of water and add 1 teaspoon of slippery elm bark. Let it steep for a few minutes, then strain and drink the warm liquid slowly.

Add 2 teaspoons of chopped horehound herb to 1 cup of boiling water. Boil for 10 minutes, strain, and drink the tea warm.
