What is Ringworm?

Ringworm is a fungal infection caused by mold-like parasites that thrive on the outer layer of the skin. It can spread through direct contact with infected animals, people, contaminated objects, soil, or unclean materials.

Symptoms of Ringworm

  • Circular patches on the skin.

  • Persistent itching.

  • Inflammation and scaling of the skin.

  • Dry, scaly patches, especially on the soles of the feet.

  • Home Remedies for Ringworm

  • Crush fresh garlic (lahasun) into a paste and apply it to the affected area.

  • Soak mustard seeds in water for 30 minutes, grind them into a thick paste, and apply to the infected skin to relieve itching and irritation.

  • Mix fresh turmeric (haldi) powder with water to form a paste. Apply it to the affected area 3 times daily until the infection clears.

  • Extract fresh gel from an aloe vera leaf and apply it directly to the affected area. Leave it on overnight and rinse off the next morning.

  • Consume olive leaf extract three times a day until symptoms subside.

  • Grind fresh lemongrass into a paste and apply to the infected skin.

  • Mix ½ teaspoon of neem leaf powder with a small amount of water to make a paste. Apply it to the rashes several times a day.

  • Diet and Lifestyle Guidelines for Ringworm

  • Follow a warm, fresh, and nourishing diet.

  • Avoid incompatible food combinations, such as consuming cold and hot foods together or milk with spicy, salty, or sour items.

  • Steer clear of sudden changes in environmental temperature.

  • Refrain from consuming junk food, bakery items, sweets, and dairy products.

  • Use appropriate herbal ointments, powders, or gels based on the season, your body type, and the nature of the infection.

  • Always consult a physician or Ayurvedic expert before starting any treatment or medication.
