What is an Overactive Bladder (OAB)?
Overactive bladder (OAB), also known as bladder hypertonicity, is a condition marked by poor bladder control, leading to a sudden and frequent urge to urinate, even when the bladder isn't full.
Common Causes of Overactive Bladder
Kidney stones, bladder stones, or bladder tumors.
Bladder inflammation or infections (bacterial or otherwise).
Anatomical deformities of the bladder.
Poorly managed or uncontrolled diabetes.
Recurrent or chronic urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Symptoms of Overactive Bladder
Sudden and urgent need to urinate.
Frequent urination, both day and night.
Bladder spasms or cramping.
Urinary incontinence (involuntary urine leakage).
Bed-wetting or leaking urine during sleep.
