Home Remedies for Dry Eyes
Splash your eyes with water regularly to refresh them.
Include green vegetables and stay well-hydrated.
Gently massage the eyelids using mild soap or baby shampoo while the eyes are closed.
Soak cotton balls in cold tea and place them on your eyelids for 5 minutes.
Add a teaspoon of Triphala powder to a glass of water, let it sit overnight, strain, and rinse your eyes in the morning.
Mix 2–3 drops of lavender oil in warm water, soak cotton balls and place them on your eyes.
Use cooled, used tea bags as eye compresses for 5 minutes.
Place a warm, damp cloth over your eyes for 5-10 minutes; repeat 2-3 times.
Warm almond milk with a teaspoon of turmeric, ½ teaspoon of cinnamon, and ⅛ teaspoon of cloves; add honey and drink it.
Boil 10-12 mint (spearmint/pudhina) leaves in water, let it cool, and use the water to rinse your eyes.
Place cucumber slices over closed eyes for about 20 minutes.
Soak a towel in warm water, wring it out, and cover your face for 15-20 minutes.
Apply the top layer of cow ghee to your lower lashes once daily (avoid doing this at night).
Applying a small amount of pure honey to the eyes briefly can also be beneficial.
Eye Care Tips During Dry Eyes
Avoid touching or rubbing your eyes with your hands.
Rinse eyes twice daily with lukewarm or Triphala water.
Include cow's milk and ghee in your regular diet.
Ayurvedic procedures like Anjana and Aschyotana (eye cleansing therapies) can help.
Apply oil or ghee to the soles of your feet and scalp at night for a soothing effect.
