Causes of High Cholesterol

High cholesterol can result from several factors, including obesity, a diet high in low-density lipoprotein (LDL), psychological issues, stress, and a sedentary lifestyle.

Signs and Symptoms of High Cholesterol

  • High cholesterol is often referred to as a "silent killer" because it typically shows no symptoms in its early stages.

  • Over time, however, elevated cholesterol levels may lead to symptoms such as dizziness, chest pain, headaches, pain in the calf muscles, and difficulty walking briskly.

  • Risk Factors and When to Consult a Doctor

  • High cholesterol increases the risk of blood clots, plaque buildup, narrowing of the arteries, vessel blockages, and even heart attacks.

  • If your cholesterol level is high, it is essential to follow your doctor's treatment plan and guidelines closely.
